The art style is very well done, albeit you can see some 2D on the Z-axis. That is a cheap trick for a game that claims to be a 3D game, but I won't complain. Because for it's price, the art and models are very well done. Story is mediocre and sloppy, which I held absolutely no interest in reading since the pacing is bad and content is at best a "he tried." Those are not that important. A hidden object game prizes itself on puzzles, mechanics, and art. And in this case, only art made the mark.My utmost complain, disappointment, frustration, so much so I couldn't bear to play the game further, is all in how the game was designed as a hidden object game. I started the game right off with Expert mode, which allowed hints at a slower recharge, no skippable puzzles, and more hidden objects to find. Sounds fine by me. I never went back to the Casual mode because I couldn't be bothered to spot the difference between the difficulties. Doesn't matter either. As a game of this genre, they did what they promised. Hidden objects. Except, it's really HIDDEN objects. I'll let a screenshot talk for itself. Watch out for the thick black outlined box I made to reiterate my point.https://imgur.com/a/Ne00YHow the developers expect a player to be able to find an object that has no ground to stand on, and has no way to reveal itself hidden behind an environment is way beyond me. Maybe this is what they call avant garde of the hidden object genre. To me, this is purely atrocious design. You simply do not expect a player to hover the mouse around each pixel of the screen to find an object that has an outer glow when your mouse is hovering on it. And mind you, I have used a hint to find this because it's entirely out of question to have visualised an object behind that bloody edge. The hints spawn a white light streak that tells you where it is, and is visibly impossible to see in certain areas of the game. The yellow glow only appears after your mouse hovers onto it. This is a bad way to highlight an object if the player still has to play hidden object after asking for help. It's like asking for a torchlight in the dark and getting handed one but told to find my own batteries. Utter rubbish. I am also going to assume that all the misplaced objects in strange places are the additional ones that the developers had no idea where to place and decided to randomly insert them after completing the level design for Casual mode.As a warning, some background loops may give you slight motion sickness if you are prone to them. While I haven't been one of those people, there are cases the background was also utterly distracting. Dialogues are almost annoying in acknowledging its factual existence, and minigames are both amateurish and seemingly pointless. But at it's price point, I wouldn't expect much.Frankly speaking, I probably got this game from a bundle somewhere long ago, but I found it in my library today and gave it a shot. Now that I've tried it, I will honestly conclude that this game is still unacceptable to me even at a low price point or in a bundle. All that remains for this game is card drops and even then, it leaves me a bad aftertaste to even see it idling. I also pray this game was a good way to learn from a consumer's point of view and serves to better their game designs in the future if they are still in the industry. Nonetheless, I will never recommend this game.. Unique search and find, but be warned lots of tile sliding puzzles.. Elementary My Dear Majesty! is a game that I recommend because:- is a method to banish boredom- it has trading cards- it is casual- it has hidden objectsEnjoy!. Completed the whole game in less than 2 hours a bit short but fun good to just loose a couple of hours if you need to.Simple cartoon graphics only need a mouse. a few mini games but if you break off and leave along time gap on game play you will forget what you was doing so you have to restart the game as the whole game is one story.point and click with a few mini puzzles and logic.. Elementary My Dear Majesty! is a game that I recommend because:- is a method to banish boredom- it has trading cards- it is casual- it has hidden objectsEnjoy!. A hidden object game where, instead of finding things in a 2-Dimensional picture, you find things in a small 3-Dimensional landscape, rotating it in order to see from different angles. It sounds like a good idea on paper, but the execution leaves something to be desired. You can barely rotate the environments at all, controls are poor and fiddly, and it's not always clear what you have to find or do. It also crashed on me a couple times. Also, the story for this game was written by and for kindergateners on acid. The princess turns into a monster for some reason but is then kidnapped by aliens. You want to go after them but you must get a map from some pirates and gas from a jungle temple. That's as far as I got before it crashed for the second time and I gave up.It's kind of amusing just because the story is so weird, but I wouldn't spend money on it.
